Top 10 duets on American songs

This edition is the result of author’s 12 years of teaching activity and the search for interesting English-language repertoire for playing with beginners. The search requirements were very simple: the theme of the song should be familiar and simple, such that it can be understood in the intonation and rhythm of the child 1 year of study. At the same time I wanted to bring the stylistic moments and colorful harmonies.  The collection includes the most famous English-language (English and American in origin) children’s songs and the simplest jazz standards. The latter may be useful in working with adult beginners. Stylistic amplitude includes pop arrangements, swings, jazz ballads, country, rumba. The construction of the arrangements is such that the theme sounds several times in different octaves, tempos, characters, and sometimes articulation, which is a good training for both the beginner’s playing skills and musicality in general.  We hope that these arrangements will bring the joy of music making and become a highlights of your class repertoire!
