Top 10 duets of Nursery Rhymes — for beginner with teacher accompaniment + backing tracks

This edition is the result of author’s 16 years of experience and the search for an interesting repertoire for playing with beginners. The requirements for the search were very simple: the song theme should be familiar and simple to make its intonation and rhythm understandable for a child of the first year of education. At the same time I wanted to bring the stylistic moments and add colorful harmonies.

The colection includes the most famous English-language (English and American origin) children’s songs. Each song has three notations: 1) a concise score of the theme of the song with an illustration, a kind of familiarity with the melody, image, text 2) the ensemble score with the teacher 3) the student’s part with dynamics and articulation set exactly as it sounds in the ensemble itself. The arrangements have a wide genre palette and are full of figurative moments: the rain dripping in «Rain, Rain Go Away», the morning bells in «Are You Sleeping, Brother John?», the swaying and funny falls of Humpty-Dumpty, the flight of the bumblebee in «Baby Bumblebee».

A novelty of this edition was a set of backing tracks in several tempos for comfortable studying. Nevertheless the accompaniment parts are complete and can be played without them. So, each song can be performed in three versions: with a teacher, with accompanying backing tracks, with a teacher and backing tracks. Access to backing tracks can be obtained by scanning the QR code next to the ensemble score.
